The short version

FreshFeed collects nothing. No accounts. No analytics. No telemetry. Everything happens locally inside your browser. We have no servers because we have no need for them.

What we collect

Nothing. FreshFeed does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, browsing data, or usage data of any kind.

What FreshFeed stores locally

The extension uses your browser's local storage to remember a single value: whether Fresh Mode is currently turned on or off. This setting never leaves your device. It is not synced, transmitted, or accessible to anyone but you.

What FreshFeed does on YouTube

When Fresh Mode is on:

When Fresh Mode is off, the extension does nothing. YouTube behaves exactly as it normally would.

Permissions, explained

The extension requests the minimum permissions needed to function:

The extension does not request, and cannot access, any other websites or any data beyond what is described above.

Third parties

FreshFeed does not use any third-party services, analytics, advertising networks, or trackers. The extension does not communicate with any external server controlled by us, because no such server exists.

Your YouTube account

FreshFeed does not access, modify, or interact with your YouTube account, watch history, subscriptions, playlists, or any other account data. It works entirely at the browser level by redirecting page navigation. Your account data on YouTube remains untouched and unchanged.

Children's privacy

FreshFeed does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because we collect nothing, this section is largely a formality.

Changes to this policy

If our practices ever change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. The extension's source code is publicly available, so any change to what data is collected would be visible immediately.
